Description
A BMW battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your automobile.It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its chief purpose is to start the BMW engine.
Once the engine is operating, the alternator supplies electricity for the car.
Normally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, along with a complete discharge can reduce the lifespan of the battery.
